Hours

Flexible Scheduling (weekdays, weekends, holidays, etc.) Schedule a caregiver for as little as 2 consecutive hours, up to full-time support services 24 hours a day!

Our goal is to allow our clients to stay in their homes, in an environment where they are accustomed to being surrounded by their family, friends, and familiar surroundings.

Professional nursing services are provided in accordance with the plan of care and are case managed by licensed Registered Nurses who may also be the visiting nurse assigned. Additionally, case managers may assign LPN’s who service cases under the supervision of the RN and assist in the implementation of the plan of care.

Physical therapy services, if currently offered, are provided in accordance with the plan of care and are case managed by qualified, licensed physical therapists who may act as the primary case manager in the absence of the nursing discipline. Additionally, PT case managers may assign PTAs (Physical Therapy Assistants) who service cases under the supervision of the PT and assist in the implementation of the plan of care. PT may develop rehabilitative plans of care, collaborate with the attending MD to obtain orders, provide education to clients and families and set achievable goals to discharge.

Occupational therapy services, if currently offered, are provided in accordance with the plan of care and are case managed by qualified licensed Occupational Therapists (OT). Additionally, OT may assign qualified OTAs (Occupational Therapy Assistants) who service cases under the supervision of the OT and assist the OT in the implementation of the plan of care. OT may develop rehabilitative plans of care, collaborate with the attending MD to obtain orders, provide education to clients and families and set achievable goals to discharge.

Speech Therapy services, if currently offered, are provided in accordance with the
Plan of care and are provided by a qualified licensed speech therapist. ST may develop
rehabilitative plans of care, collaborate with the attending MD to obtain orders, provide
education to clients and families and set achievable goals to discharge.

Medical Social Services, if currently offered, are provided in accordance with the plan of care and are services by qualified licensed social workers. MSW (and BSW under the MSW) manage the psychosocial needs of clients, assist with financial planning, collaborate with the attending MD to obtain orders, assist with community resources needed by clients, and provide counseling according to the plan of care.

If offered by Heavenly Hands Family Services, nutrition services will be provided by a qualified, licensed/registered Dietitian under the plan of care for the client. Nutritionists assess nutrition needs of clients, consult with clients, staff and family members regarding special diets and nutritional requirements of the client.

If currently offered, Clinical respiratory or ventilation services shall be provided by or under the supervision of a respiratory therapist or a registered nurse with demonstrated competency in the delivery of respiratory services under a plan of care signed by a physician.

If currently offered, infusion services shall be provided by or under the supervision of a
registered nurse with training in infusion services or special training in the drug and nutritional therapies the agency offers, in accordance with the North Carolina Nursing Practice Act, G.S. Chapter 90, Article 9A, and a plan of care signed by a physician.

If offered by Heavenly Hands Family Services, companion/sitter services will be provided by qualified, trained individuals, in accordance with the client’s plan of care and under the supervision of a qualified supervisor, who spends time with or provides non-hands-on care services for clients. “Non-Hands-on Care Services” means basic home management tasks, shopping, meal preparation, transportation, companion services, socialization, medication reminders, and other services that do not require the service provider to use “hands-on care&” as defined in NC rules,
and which do not require training or verification of skills by a Registered Nurse.

In home aides services is hands-on paraprofessional services which assist individuals, their family or both with home management tasks, personal care tasks, or supervision of the client’s
activities, or all of the above, to enable the individual, their family or both, to remain and
function effectively at home as long as possible.
In-home aide duties may include the following:

  • Help with prescribed exercises which the client and in-home aides have been taught by a
    health care practitioner licensed pursuant to NC G.S. 90.
  • Provide or assist with personal care (i.e. bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair).
  • Assist with ambulation.
  • Assist client with self-administration of medications which are ordered by a physician or
    other person authorized by state law to prescribe.
  • Perform incidental household services which are essential to the client’s care at home; and
  • Record and report changes in the client’s condition, family situation or needs to an
    appropriate health care practitioner.

If offered by the agency, Respite services includes planned or emergency care provided to an individual on order to provide temporary relief to the family caregiver.

Home Care Service is an option for seniors that enable them to maintain a comfortable lifestyle in luxury of their own home. Our home care services range from part-time assistance with day-to-day activities to full-time live in caregivers. A few of our common home care services include but not limited to:
